PRESIDENT’S REPORT
At last week’s meeting Bob Allardice of Rotary Club of Nunawading gave us his presentation on a Project close to him and not only his club, he’s joined by other clubs who recycle playgrounds from local councils. Bob’s involvement as co director has seen the workload increase quite substantially, therefore the project is looking for more clubs to offer assistance as they go forward in the future.
This week we have our Changeover with PP Paul Martin as our 40 th President and also our 40 th Birthday celebration on the same night. Thanks to Brian, Garry and Cliff for organising the program for the 40 th Birthday. Please invite partners and any other past Rotarians to help us celebrate and contact Ray Barrett with numbers. I’m looking forward to hearing from past Presidents and catching up with past member and friends.
Well I’d like to thank all members and their partners for their contribution and support over the last 12 months. We have had many great speakers and held some top class events. I’d ask all members to thank those who supported us over the year by helping at our events as well.
The Funeral Mass for Mrs Helen Clare Foley (wife of Past District Governor Brian Foley) will be offered at St Patricks Catholic Church, Cnr Childers and Rodgers Street, Mentone on Wednesday June 26 th commencing at 11am. The service will be webcast, to access the webcast add a message of condolence visit the tribute page for Mrs Foley at Tobin Brothers Website.
Congratulations to PP Paul Martin and his team as they take the club into the future.
