President's Message
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
On Wed last we conducted further planning for the Car Show followed by a Board Meeting at the Hub. Brian has done a sterling job and just about everything seems to be "under control". It has certainly taken a great deal of work, and now we need to hope for some good weather and to publicise the event to family and friends. This meeting was followed by a Board meeting where the financials were presented and each service group reported on their planning. Peter has planned a morning at Seville to hand out free sausages which will further enhance our visibility in the community. This will be done on Sat Nov 2nd. Further Peter will hold a working bee on a Friday at his place to put together some Seat Benches for our Primary Schools to go with the libraries we completed last year. Gavan is organising an Apple packing day for early Dec. Tim will organise Rembrance Day celebrations at the Wandin Memorial.
This week we have three special visitors, and the presentation of Honoray Membership certificates to Warwick, David and Les. This along with a Guest Speaker from Stable One.
Well, that's it from me,
Yours in Rotary and thanks for reading.

Ingredients
For the Brownies:
1/2 cup Butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
For the Brown Butter Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
4 cups icing sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 190oC. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into the mixture until well blended.
Fold in the mashed bananas.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before removing.
For the Frosting:
In a medium saucepan, heat the butter over a medium heat until boiling. let the butter turn to a delicate brown, then remove from heat immediately.
Pour the butter into a bowl, then add the icing sugar, vanilla extract and milk.
Beat until smooth and creamy.
Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies before cutting into squares.
Joke of the Week!
Going into a teenager's room is like taking a trip to IKEA....
You pop in, just to have a quick look around, but end up leaving with 8 cups, 4 plates, 3 bowls, 12 teaspoons and a tea towel.
