Last Wed I was delighted when I arrived at Andrew Corbetts packing shed to see a large group of Rotarians, partners, and guests hard at work packing apples. The production line atmosphere would have rivalled  Henry Ford. In what seemed like a short time we had all the apples bagged and despatched to the various delivery cars. I did Woori, Coldstream and Yering and at each school they were delighted with our efforts. It is such a good Community and Youth project and there should be a write up with pictures in this weeks local newspapers. Many thanks to all our helpers but especially Heinz & Maree Budweg.

 

At the same event we received news that our caterer Mick has been taken ill and was in Hospital. As a result our Christmas function which previously had been scheduled for the Hub has had to been hastily rearranged. I would like to thank Brian and in particular Sue Hodgson who have offered so graciously to host the event at their home. All the details are in this bulletin. All visitors are welcome and especially ex Rotarians and their partners. Here's hoping for a good and speedy recovery for Mick.

 

I realise December is a busy time for most of us with family and friends but the highlight will surely be the December Car Show which is only one week away. This is normally our biggest show and so here is to hoping for good weather.

Generally what we give away at this time of the year, we receive back in multiples and so its a good time to remember that personal donations to Romac, Operation Cleft , and Aust Rotary Health can easily be made. In this bulletin there are photoes of a new water well being dug for a family in Cambodia with the direct funds provided by Jake and his 3D printer. What a difference that family's Christmas will be. And thats why we are in Rotary, To Make a Difference.
