PRESIDENTS REPORT
Last Wednesday we had our meeting at the Hub and our guest
speaker was Mel Spencer for Different Journeys. Her topic was
“Creating Positive Autistic Communities”
It was an extremely interesting and moving presentation as Mel spoke of bringing up 3
children who had autism as well having autism herself. All of our
members and guests present, learnt a great deal about this
condition, as well as the role carers, friends, family and people in
general interact with those with autism.
On Friday, Gavan and I installed the Wandin Rotary Club Honour
Board at Mont De Lancey. It is located in the undercover area
adjacent to the Three Peas Café. It is quite visible to visitors to the
café, and we intend to install a small pamphlet holder with some
Rotary information for the public.
This Wednesday, as the RAWCS presentation has been postponed,
we will have some fellowship and dinner at the Wandin Pizza Bar. A
booking has been made in the beer garden for 6pm.
As usual, text Tim regarding your attendance before Monday
evening.
Yours in Rotary
President Peter
