Last week we had a Board Meeting. Amongst items discussed were the recommendations from the car show review. The recommendations were passed by the Board and include the current venue to be retained, alternative entertainment be investigated, entry of spectators be based on a recommended donation to RCH of $5, the changes made this year such as wheelie bins and traffic management be continued. There is a need to review the method of parking the show cars. The Community projects currently in focus are a Christmas in July dinner and the Battery collection. The Youth report highlighted the junior Speech contest which is on Thurs July 31st. The sausage sizzle that was to be held at Woolworths yesterday was postponed because of the weather, but will now be held at a Wandin Junior football game as under cover is more suitable for planning at this time of the year. A concurrent wood raffle will also be conducted.
Prez Elect Peter announced that the Change Over Night will be held on Wed 25th June at Mont Delancey. Also in this bulletin you will see that a silent auction is being held for one of the Rotary 4 x4 trailers that is surplus to our needs. Whilst this trailer has been stored under cover in Pat Cullen's shed for an extended period , and we thank Pat for doing so, it is now time to move the trailer to a new home. See the advert.
This week we have the Thank you to our Sponsors and Helpers from the Car Show and the presentation of the cheque to reprsentatives from the Royal Childrens Hospital Foundation. Please be aware it starts at 7.00pm and there is finger food, and not a meal being served.
Well thats it from me, Yours in Rotary , Paul.
