President's Message
Hi all
Last Friday, I took our Romac sponsored patient Serah, along with her sister Reina to a day out at Healesville Sanctuary. They both loved the experience and were amazed at all the different animals they saw. Favourites were the emus, lyrebird, koalas, but easily their favourite by far was the kangaroos. We all enjoyed watching the bird show at midday – Spirits of the Sky. I took them to the gift shop and let them choose a gift to remember the occasion. As expected, they both chose a furry kangaroo with a Joey in its pouch! Serah has an appointment with the surgeon this coming Tuesday.
This Wednesday, there will be no meeting, however Jeanette has planned a get together dinner at the Home Hotel in Launching Place. On Thursday, we will be having our third annual Primary Schools Speech Contest. It will be held at Woori Yallock Primary School at 6pm, with the contest starting at 6.30pm. Please make an effort to attend if you can, as it is a great opportunity to hear the young students speak. We need a couple of Rotary members to greet people with a program and to act as timekeepers.
