Hi All,

Last week at the HUB we had the distinct pleasure of hosting a visit from our ROMAC patient John and his career Mary.

A great turn out of Rotarians and guest from Wandin, Lilydale and Upper Yarra clubs. A very special night.

Gavan introduced us all to John and Mary and gave us an insight into their journey and the life changing experience they have received.

John is such a bright, happy young boy who will undoubtedly go far in his
endeavours.

On Sunday we hosted the monthly Indoor Market at the Wandin North Hall.

An incredibly wet day as the State was drenched, but this didn’t deter the locals from getting out and about.

Another visit by John and Mary who took part in the day and embraced all on offer.

This week we will be having the AGM at the HUB, appointing members into specific roles for the next rotary year.

I would like to invite all Wandin members to attend as this will form the next future year of our club.

We are in urgent need of home hosting for the next ROMAC patient, 14 yr old Serah from Tanna Island, Vanuatu. She will be accompanied to Melbourne by her older sister, Reina. Home hosting is required from June 30th.

Serah will be treated for a knee problem at St Vincent’s. Private Hospital East Melbourne. The length of stay is currently unknown.

Her initial consult is on July 2nd at Nth. Melbourne and her operation on her knee will be done at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

There is an allowance available to the home host, who must have a Working with Children card. This can be arranged through Rotary.
