President's Message
Hi all,
Last Wednesday, we had our weekly meeting at the Hub, where we had a presentation from Veterans for Fishing. They spoke of using the sport of fishing to bring veterans together to provide friendship, support and outings for past members of the armed forces. It was an informative evening, and even though we only had a small number of members present, it all went well, with another delicious meal provided by Jeanette.
This Wednesday, we won’t be having a meeting, again due to low numbers of members available. Jeanette has made a booking at the new Indian restaurant in Wandin. (next to the Chinaman) if you are around.
Have a good week everyone.
Cheers
Peter

An update on Serah, who our club is sponsoring through Romac, here to have knee surgery. It was a pleasure to take Serah and her sister Reina to have i-med scans in East Melbourne. I will keep your informed as further information comes through. Please see feedback below.
Dear President, Secretary, Board & Members,
On behalf of ROMAC (Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children), I sincerely thank you and your Club members for your recent generous donation. Your generosity will help us to change the lives of young children from island nations in the Oceania Region who need lifesaving or dignity restoring surgery they are unable to undergo in their home countries. ROMAC transports these children to hospitals in Australia and New Zealand where the surgery can take place. Since ROMAC’s establishment in 1988 over 570 children have been successfully treated and can now expect to live a normal life.
Your support of ROMAC’s vital work is very much appreciated. THANK YOU!
Yours sincerely,
Glenys A J Parton Chair
Hi All,
I would like to acknowledge and personally thank the Rotary Club of Wandin and all the club's members for your generous and fantastic support of ROMAC over the years. You should be proud, as I am, of having Gavan and Dianne who have been and are effectively active in ROMAC work in providing life changing opportunities for the disadvantaged children. I also would like to thank you all and specifically, Peter for reaching out to me, in sponsoring and helping Serah who are being treated at VicOrtho presently.
