President's Report
Hi all,

No report this week

Cheers.
Editors Note

Hi All Hope Everyone is Doing well

Last Week we had a fellowship night with a Board meeting right after

We first went to the indian restaurant in wandin it was quite nice and cozy atmosphere some discussions were had and all in all was a nice evening dinner

afterwards was the board meeting which many important things were discussed and some solutions were arrived at as always if you wish to attend a board meeting in the future feel free to do so the board always welcomes members thoughts and opinions

today as im writing this monday tonight we have the Cluster meeting at healsville hope to see many of you their to hear from our DG emma and to see other clubs and to hear from them as well

have a good week see you all tonight or Wednesday

John Nauka from Tanna Island Vanuatu is 4 yrs old and has a club foot which needs correction. He will be accompanied by Mary who has good English.

John’s arrival has been delayed due to an injury to the foot needing surgery. The surgeon has finally agreed that the foot is now healthy enough to operate on.

Johns surgery will be done at St Vincents Private in the city following initial consultations which will be on August 12th.

We urgently need assistance with home hosting and /or attending medical appointments until end of September.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience Rotary at work and be part of changing a child’s life forever.

We have hosted many children and can guarantee that you receive far more than you give.

No medical experience is necessary, just a loving heart.

July 2026 Newsletter

Dear Rotary Club of Wandin

Welcome to another edition of the We Can’t Wait Newsletter.

In this edition, we are pleased to provide an update on the progress of the life-changing projects you have supported in partnership with We Can’t Wait in India, Nepal, Ethiopia and Sri Lanka.

• The two Global Grant projects with The Rotary Foundation in the Rajasthan and Maharashtra Regions of India are well under way, with the former nearing completion.

• Year 2 programs of both E-WASH (Ethiopia) and SWAN (Safe Water Access Nepal) are now completed; and We Can’t Wait will continue to support EWASH in Year 3. We are delighted to advise that we are nearing our funding target for this commitment, and your continued support can help get us “over the line”.

• We are excited to announce that a return Project Field Monitoring Trip to Ethiopia is planned for November 2026 and you are warmly invited to join us for this memorable experience. The brochure with details of dates and indicative cost can be accessed below.

• The sanitation project in the tea plantations of Sri Lanka, which we supported last year, is now well under way after a delay due to the devastation of Cyclone Ditwah last November - see Mukti Australia’s report below.

Finally, it has been our great pleasure to welcome Sanjay Kshirsagar onto the team and the Committee. We look forward to his contribution to taking We Can’t Wait forward into the future.

Great to meet Rotary D9815 participants at Rotary Youth Leadership Awards recently.

Happy reading, and thank you for your ongoing generous support.

Warm regards,

Tony Stokes
