PRESIDENT’S REPORT
What a fabulous celebration of all things Rotary we had last Wed night. The room with 34 in attendence was full of ambience and good cheer as members & guests welcomed new member Tim Manders with his induction, alongside the recognition and contribution to Wandin by three outstanding former members Les, David & Warwick. In addition we had an excellent presentation from David Wilson who in representing Stable One gave a detailed overview of the causes of homelessness and all the contributing factors. Our local Wandin Baptist church across the road is actually one of the three sites in the Valley that provide winter accomodation and meals.
The District Governor's Partner Gala Ball to raise funds for the Monash Children's Cancer centre is to be held on Sat Nov 16th. If interested, please see the advert below.
As we get closer to the car show, only four more weeks, it is time to let everyone know about it, so please share the poster with friends, family, shops and everyone you meet.
The PJ Mould Reserve in Wandin is going to be totally re vamped this will involve the removal of the Rotunda that the club built some 30 plus years ago, the rotunda has some rotten posts, and the roof isn't in great condition.
I have asked the Council that if someone can use this rotunda can it be removed by them and the answer was that it could be arranged.
If anyone is interested, please contact me on 0409343947
Cheers Gavan
