Againwhat a spectacular night we had last Wed. Thanks to Brian & Sue for not only organising dinner but to Brian for organising such an informative and entertaining night. With D Day and Operation Overlord being remembered on the anniversary of June 6th we had the beginning of the movie The Forgotten Battle (available on Netflix) which tells the story of the allies liberation of Belgium. In particular the entry to Belgium by the RAF using gliders. Then Anthony McLeer recounted the life and involvement of RAAF pilot Ralph Proctor a local Wandin man who lived all of his life in our community. Awe inspiring and Garry has found photoes of Ralph attending the Rotary Anzac Service in uniform. Thanks Garry.
This Wed we have our monthly Board meeting at the Bendigo Bank board room. Dinner will be from 7.00pm by ordering your own Pizza or pasta, with the meeting to commence at 7.30pm.
In two weeks time we have our Changeover. Please book your spot by Trybooking so that we have a firm grasp on numbers. Please do not leave it to the last minute!
The treasurer has asked me to remind all members that annual subscriptions are now due.
Well thats enough from me, Yours in Rotary,
Prez Paul.
