President's Message
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
This week we have our final Car Show for the season. After the drought breaking rain on Sunday, the forecast is for a balmy night with a max of 32. Hopefully we will have a great attendence. Last Wed night we had the Board meeting at the Presidents home due to his inability to walk on crutches. As usual a large number of topics were raised and discussed. The Feb financials were presented and it is noted that the club is in a strong financial position due to the strong stewardship by Ray Barrett. The Board is keen to see the establishment of a satellite club by Wandin and is looking to put together a list of possibilities. Our Community chair Tim Manders outlined his plans for Anzac Day which is not far away now.The Program was discussed, especially the likely number of attendees over the next few months and both the provision of meals and guest speakers.Under the banner of our International director a variety of programs were discussed worthy of our support.
Last Monday the Family Fun Day was held, and according to numerous reports it was a huge success. Many thanks go to Ray and Gavan for leading our involvement in the day, and to the Bendigo Bank for its generous support of this worthy community event, along with the Rotarians who assisted with the actually running of the day. Well thats all from me, thanks for your support and looking forward to seeing everyone at the Car Show.
