PRESIDENT’S REPORT

It’s with a sad heart that I announce the passing of one of our Charter Members, Past President Peter Manders. Peter was a large part of the club holding many and varied positions during his 40 years as a member of the Rotary Club of Wandin. He was exemplary in his commitment to detail. On a personal note he was very supportive to me as a new member. To Annemarie and Peter’s sons, Chris and Tim, we offer our condolence and our support where needed.

Funeral service at 11am on Friday 21 June at Heritage Funerals, Woori Yallock.

At last week’s meeting it was great to enjoy a presentation that highlighted then eed for all sorts of support groups especially for neglected domestic animals.
Saskia from “Forever Friends Animal Rescue” gave an honest presentation on how the organisation was setup and the need for volunteers, donations of food, supplies and funding. They also offer animal interaction with members of the community.

On Tuesday 18 June the Club will be making a presentation to the Royal Childrens Hospital at the Hub. Please support Pat and attend in Club uniform.

Next week we have Paul Bailey, Principal of Wandin North Primary School.
