Last Wednesday, we presented Vocational Service awards to deserving members of the local community, held at Warratina Lavender Farm Tea rooms.
There was a good crowd in and a lot of
chat amongst the members, partners and guests.
We heard a very interesting talk from Seville pharmacist, Caleb Armstrong on his time in his profession and also the 22 years he has been operating in Seville.
Thanks again to Jeanette and Doreen for doing the catering, especially with the challenges of a different kitchen to work in.
Special thanks also go to Annemarie for making the tea rooms available, setting up and helping on the night.
On Tuesday night, 5 Rotary members and 2 partners will be joining, Lilydale, Upper Yarra and Healesville for croquet and pizza at the Lilydale Club.
Wednesday night is planned as an informal dinner at the Chinaman for a bit of a chat, food, wine and fellowship. Please let Tim know of your attendance beforehand.
On Thursday morning / lunchtime, our club will be providing a sausage sizzle for a Wheelchair for Kids fundraising event at
Wandin North Primary School.
Paul is coordinating this and we need 2 or 3 more helpers to attend.
We have 350 sausages in bread to cook and handout and the same events last year at Coldstream and Wandin North were very successful.
I hope everyone has a great week and a Happy Easter.
Yours in Rotary
President Peter
