President's Message
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Just a brief report from me today. We have a vocational visit to Hop Hen brewery in Lilydale on Wed 22nd Jan at 6.00pm Please let Ray know your attendence or apology. On Saturday afternoon at 4.05pm we have set up for our annual Australia Day breakfast. Many thanks to those who have indicated they will help. At last count there were only 5 seats left for our Sunday morning breakfast. As you will be aware we have a renowned local speaker from Monbulk who last year appeared on Australia Story on the ABC. Watch his story on iView. He is Professor Arnold Dix who was responsible for rescuing the 41 miners from the mine collapse in the Himalayas in Nov 2023. It is timely to remind all Rotarians that if you want a seat in the breakfast hall at the Hub you must book a seat. Any problems contact Alan Henderson.
The following day on Monday Jan 27th, we have the Rotary Family Fun Day which will involve lots of different community groups and is sponsored by the Bendigo Bank. It will run from 11.00am to 4.00pm and we need help in setting up from 10.30am
