Jacinta from Yarra Valley Camps leads children's camps in the Yarra Ranges area, specifically through Southern Cross Kids' Camps (SCKC) for winter camps, serving local kids for two decades.
Jacinta recently received a Community Service Award from Aaron Violi, our Federal MP.
Southern Cross Kids’ Camps (SCKC) is a Christian not-for-profit organisation providing annual camps for primary aged children across Australia. We create environments for life change for children who have been subjected to abuse and neglect.
The children are referred to the camps by welfare and foster agencies, school principals and chaplains. We partner with churches throughout Australia to offer children, a five-day specialised program. Every year over 700 volunteers serve the kids most in need in our nation.

This is an evening of sharing ideas and working on what the Wandin Rotary Club can be doing to create activities and fun. Jeanette will give a run down of what is happing so far with regards to the "Wandin Rotary - Creative Artisans Village". This is everyone's opportunity to think about how they would like to be involved. If they have friends or associates who have an interest in the Arts and would like to have a stall. There will also be an overview of how the Winter Solstice Candle Light Concert is coming along. Please feel free to initiate some events for the program for June / July / August as these are the cold months and we need something to do that is fun ang engaging. |

There will be no meeting on Wednesday as we will be doing this instead.
We have booked the Cinema for our First Rotary 9815 Safe Communnities Event held by Rotary Belgrave. Club members can come together for an informative and enjoyable evening. There will be a short presentation about Rotary 9815 Safe Commuities project
You can all find out more information and book from this link https://www.localannouncements.com.au/events-details.php?event_id=34 Tickets are $25 and the movie is "I Swear". There is a link to the trailer from the above link. We picked the movie as it is a true story and is a comedy as well as an insight in to an illness we know little about. I hope to see all members there.
