This presentation will explore a sub-club that can run a regular event in the Wandin North Hall on the 4th Sunday of the month. The event will be called something like Community Connections - Artisan Experience Google : The phrase "community connections artisans experience" refers to programs, events, and initiatives that use arts and crafts to foster social interaction, personal growth, and a sense of belonging within a community. These experiences often involve local artists sharing their skills through workshops, markets, and collaborative projects.
We have a few people interested in joining Rotary to run this event. It will help us: ♦ build stronger community connections It will be wodnerful for our community to interact with and enjoy. There are grants for this type of events which we can apply for It will need a plan similar to the Austrlaian Day Breakfast Jeanette is happy to help with the organising and marketing.
Another Sub Club can be a Games Day once a week - giving people in our community over 14 a club house to go to and play Pool, Table Tennis, Chess, etc. Let me know if you wish to be part of this sub club or just wish to play. Again it is good for the communtiy and for Rotary to play a large part of this. We can do this in colaboration with the Baptist Church as they have rooms we can use. I already have 1 person (Francis Boekel my partner) who is will to donate towards a Pool Table and Carl from Baptist Church has a emply closed double garage that we can use for a club house and it will fit a pool table and 2 table tennis tables along with somem tables and cairs. We can hold a Bingo Night aiming to raise >$10,000 and spend half on the Club House. There will be many benefits such a Games Club House can bring to other community members. It can have a mens day - teens day - ladies games day, over 60's Games Day, etc..

Jacinta from Yarra Valley Camps leads children's camps in the Yarra Ranges area, specifically through Southern Cross Kids' Camps (SCKC) for winter camps, serving local kids for two decades.
Jacinta recently received a Community Service Award from Aaron Violi, our Federal MP.
Southern Cross Kids’ Camps (SCKC) is a Christian not-for-profit organisation providing annual camps for primary aged children across Australia. We create environments for life change for children who have been subjected to abuse and neglect.
The children are referred to the camps by welfare and foster agencies, school principals and chaplains. We partner with churches throughout Australia to offer children, a five-day specialised program. Every year over 700 volunteers serve the kids most in need in our nation.
